02-03 YZF-R1

The R1 has been through a lot over the years, and the 2002 and 2003 models are what helped it become so popular. A new fuel injection system, along with an exhaust change from 4-1 to a 4-2-1, it was the first bike to have Yamaha’s Deltabox frame. Sun Coast has you covered for used and salvage Yamaha YZF-R1 OEM and aftermarket parts. Performance doesn’t always have to come with such a high price tag.

04-06 YZF-R1

In the years that followed their first attempt at getting the R1 rolling, Yamaha hit their stride in the 2004-2006 years. Under seat twin exhaust and ram air intake were just a couple of the many changes Yamaha made to the R1 to prepare it for the racing circuit. If you were practicing for the racing circuit and high-sided your R1, we have used parts to get you back on the street or track again.

07-08 YZF-R1

Yamaha’s 999cc motored YZF-R1 continues to grow even throughout the 2008 depression. 2007 and 2008 brought a new inline 4 cylinder engine and a change to 310 mm brake disc for a faster, more performing ride. New improvements don’t have to mean more expensive though, which is why we offer OEM used parts at such competitive prices.

09-14 YZF-R1

Here you will find used OEM parts for your Yamaha YZF-R1 for the model years of 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013, and 2014 models. The transformation into a full fledged moto GP bike came to fruition during these years, adding D mode throttle control mapping and a magnesium cast subframe for lighter weight. The 2012 model even marked the 50th anniversary of Honda! Which of course came with a limited edition.

15-19 YZF-R1

Yamaha sits at the top of the mountain with their YZF-R1 series. Sun Coast has used parts for all models of Yamaha YZF-R1, including 2015, 2016 ,2017, 2018, 2019. Yamaha has brought the R1 into the future with more computer type features, like a traction control system, anti wheelie lift control system, and a quick shift system. You know what they say, the more features, the more parts that can fail, which is where we come in to save the day.

98-01 YZF-R1

The models that started it all. Launching a new wave of riders for generations to come. The Yamaha YZF-R1 OG models date back to 1998, 1999, 2000, and 2001. With a focus on minor changes over a complete redesign, Yamaha’s focus was on improving the handling and suspension to lure riders in for the long haul. If your R1 has made it this long, then keep it on the road with parts from us.

Taking the world by storm in 2014, and capturing the hearts of many, the MT-09 (called the FZ09 in North America) has a unique look fused with an extremely fun ride.In 2017, the MT-09 was updated with fully adjustable suspension, traction control, ABS, slipper clutch, LED headlights and a change in cosmetics. In 2020, they finally upgraded the engine to 890cc. This bike was designed to breathe life back into Yamaha as they had been criticized for lacking innovation in recent years, and this bike did just that.

If you find yourself listening to “Simple Man” by Lynard Skynard quite often, then you might prefer a bike like Yamaha’s FZ1. A naked bike model for over almost 15 years, the FZ1 is definitely the best example of “if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it”. For the first five years, Yamaha made no changes whatsoever, in the second generation, from 2006-2015, Yamaha made minor changes to keep up with ever increasing demand for technology by upgrading the ECU.

Not all bikes hit the way you want them to. The FZ6R didn’t have the success Yamaha was hoping for, but still amassed a good following from a group of individuals. The bike ended up being a popular choice for its half-fairing, upright seating position, and underseat exhaust. In the following years, Yamaha made drastic changes to the ECU, fuel injectors, chassis, cowling, fairings, and headlights to try make the FZ6R appealing to more people, but it never quite got where they wanted it.

The bike that replaced the FZ6, the FZ8 was Yamaha’s last attempt to find a market for this model. Built bigger, and faster, it wasn’t enough upgrades to capture any additional attention. In 2013, Yamaha made the suspension adjustable, but it wasn’t enough to save it from being discontinued that same year in the USA. If you found yourself loving the lighter crankshaft, and smaller valves than the FZ1, then keep the FZ8 alive by repairing yours and keeping it on the road.

Only sold for two years, 1993 and 1994 (In America), The Yamaha GTS1000 was known for its forkless front suspension, being replaced by a RADD system designed by James Parker. Unfortunately, this added a ton of cost to the customer that ended up being the GTS1000’s ultimate undoing. The GTS might have simply been too ahead of its time, featuring a single sided front swingarm, electronic fuel injection, ABS brakes, catalytic converter and six-piston front-brake caliper, which were all top of the line back in the day.

Super Tenere

One of the best adventure bikes on the market, adored by many, the Yamaha Super Tenere has no compromises.  The XT1200Z features a traction control system and electronic throttle control with programs to support off-road use, switchable engine mapping, and combined brakes with ABS. It also features a liquid cooled 1199cc motor that hauls enough power to get you across the Sahara.

One of the most popular dirt bikes available. The 196cc TW200, manufactured since 1987, can take you virtually anywhere, including the North Pole, which someone did the year this bike came out. (Greatest marketing ever?) If you need to replace those giant tires, a chain, or even your disc brakes, Sun Coast has you covered with parts that will keep your money in your pocket and your bike on the North Pole.

Vintage FJ

A true science experiment for Yamaha, the FJR has had many features tested on it, including an automatic transmission, electrical outlets, and different driving modes such as touring and sport. Hey, if it isn’t broken, why bother re-building it? But if it is broken, you can rely on Sun Coast for the best selection of reasonably priced vintage Yamaha parts.

Vintage FZ

No matter which FZ model you ride, whether it be the FZ1, FZ6, or the FZ8, Sun Coast has you covered with vintage parts made before 2000. Vintage OEM Yamaha parts will keep your bike on the road for years to come at a price that won’t have you considering selling your body to science. (Not that we have considered that.

Need an inexpensive little dirt bike? You made a great choice with the Yamaha WR250. Almost 20 years in the making, the WR250 changed from the YZ250 by upgrading with controllable power, with a headlight and lighting coil, softer suspension, a kickstand, better noise specifications, larger radiators, and lower emissions. There hasn’t been but a handful of updates to this model over the years, except for switching to a digital display and aluminum frame.

Before the Super Tenere was even an idea in a Yamaha corporate business room, Yamaha released the XT600. Designed as a bike that could go on or off road without any trouble, the XT600 would later be a direct rival of the popular Honda 650. The Yamaha however, would end up going through many changes over the years, including changes to the kick start, brakes, four-valve engine, mono-shock absorber (mono Cross) and contemporary 12-volt electrics.

Nicknamed the “Thundercat” in Europe, the YZF600R is built for Sport Touring. With a fully adjustable suspension, along with a long one piece seat made for long term comfort, and a torque specific motor, there is a specific market for this Yamaha bike, and it hits that market well. For over 13 years, the Yamaha YZF600R received nothing more than cosmetic updates.

If you find yourself in the unprecedented predicament of letting your R3 hit the pavement, worry no more! Sun coast has a plethora of parts available online ready to ship to your door! The offset engine isn’t the only unique feature about this bike. If you are just looking into an entry level door into riding a motorcycle, you could do no wrong by riding your YZF-R3 until the wheels fall off. Make sure to check out our entire catalog of OEM YZF performance parts!

There is no shame in adding more used parts to your YZF1000 Thunderace. Considering that the entire bike is made from the excess parts of other bikes. So, no harm no foul. We can keep that spirit alive by offering the finest selection of OEM Yamaha motorcycle parts and accessories. Throttle position sensors and an improved rotating crankshaft are what sold this bike in the late 90’s.
