The Husqvarna FE 350 is a competition-grade four-stroke enduro machine that Sun Coast Cycle Sports regularly parts out. Produced from 2014 to present under KTM group ownership, the FE 350 runs a 349cc liquid-cooled DOHC single-cylinder engine with a six-speed gearbox. A street-legal dual-sport variant (FE 350s) has been available alongside the closed-course enduro model since 2017. Our used FE 350 components are pulled from verified donor bikes, individually cataloged and photographed, and shipped from Florida.
FE 350 generation and parts compatibility
| Generation | Years | Engine | Key differences |
| Gen 1 | 2014-2016 | 349cc DOHC single | First KTM-era Husqvarna, polyamide subframe, WP 4CS fork, linkage shock |
| Gen 2 | 2017-2019 | 349cc DOHC single | Revised frame, WP Xplor fork, updated bodywork, lighter components |
| Gen 3 | 2020-2023 | 349cc DOHC single | New chassis derived from MX platform, Braktec brakes and hydraulics, traction control, quickshifter |
| Gen 4 | 2024+ | 349cc DOHC single (redesigned) | All-new frame, new engine positioning, WP XACT closed-cartridge fork, new subframe, Brembo clutch (2025+) |
Parts compatibility within each generation is strong, but bodywork, frames, and subframes do NOT interchange across generations. Engine internals share broader compatibility across 2014-2023 models, though the 2024 redesign introduced a significantly revised engine with different case dimensions and head design. The FE 350 shares its engine with the KTM 350 XCF-W (enduro) and is closely related to the KTM 350 EXC-F (dual-sport). The engines are essentially identical between Husqvarna and KTM within the same model year. Key differences between the brands: Husqvarna uses a composite/polyamide subframe (KTM uses aluminum), a linkage rear shock (KTM enduro models use PDS no-linkage), Braktec brakes (KTM uses Brembo on most models), and brand-specific bodywork. The GasGas EC 350 is also built on this same platform.
Common FE 350 failure points and replacement parts
Front brake caliper casting defect (NHTSA 25V-074): 2022-2024 FE 350s models equipped with Braktec front brake calipers were recalled due to casting irregularities that could cause the upper guide pin to crack, reducing braking effectiveness. A total of 4,169 Husqvarna units were affected. Dealers inspect and replace the caliper if the affected version is identified.
Continental TKC80 tire recall (NHTSA HTB2207): 2019-2023 FE 350s models fitted with factory Continental TKC80 tires were part of a recall affecting 27,399 KTM and Husqvarna bikes. Tread groove cracking could lead to tread separation. Dealers replace affected tires free of charge.
Valve clearance maintenance: The DOHC 350 engine requires valve clearance checks at regular intervals. Exhaust valves tend to tighten as hours accumulate. The shim-under-bucket system is standard across the KTM group four-stroke platform.
Clutch slave cylinder: Braktec hydraulic clutch slave cylinders on 2020-2024 models can develop leaks. The 2025 model year switched to Brembo clutch hydraulics.
Commonly replaced FE 350 parts
- Brake calipers, pads, and rotors
- Clutch slave cylinder and hydraulic clutch components
- Plastics, shrouds, and fenders
- WP fork seals and suspension internals
- Exhaust header and silencer
- Subframe (composite/polyamide)
- Radiators and fan assembly
- Tires, chain, and sprockets
Frequently asked questions
Q: Will KTM 350 EXC-F or 350 XCF-W parts fit a Husqvarna FE 350
Engine internals are shared between the FE 350 and its KTM siblings (350 XCF-W enduro, 350 EXC-F dual-sport) within the same model year. Frames are very similar but the Husqvarna uses a linkage rear shock while KTM enduro models use PDS, so swingarms and rear suspension components do not cross over. Bodywork, subframes, and brake systems are brand-specific.
Q: What is the difference between FE 350 and FE 350s
The FE 350 is a closed-course enduro competition bike. The FE 350s is the street-legal dual-sport version with DOT lighting, mirrors, turn signals, horn, license plate bracket, and EPA-compliant emissions equipment. The dual-sport model makes less power due to emissions restrictions and weighs slightly more. Engine cases and frame are the same between both variants.
Q: Is the 2024 FE 350 compatible with earlier models
The 2024 model introduced an all-new chassis and significantly revised engine. Bodywork, frame, subframe, and most bolt-on components from 2023 and earlier do NOT fit the 2024+ models. Some engine consumables like oil filters may still interchange, but pistons, heads, and cases are different dimensions.
