Used 13-16 Daytona 675 Parts

Used parts for the 2013-2016 Triumph Daytona 675 and 675R are stocked at Sun Coast Cycle Sports. This second generation was a comprehensive redesign: new engine (bigger bore, shorter stroke), lighter frame, side-mounted exhaust, standard slipper clutch, and available ABS. The 675R version features Ohlins suspension, Brembo brakes, carbon fiber accents, and a quickshifter. Our Odessa, Florida technicians evaluate each component from our Daytona donors, photograph it with a unique SKU, and list it with free shipping throughout the lower 48.

The 2013 redesign changed virtually every component. The engine retained 675cc displacement but with a bigger bore and shorter stroke for improved high-RPM breathing. The frame is smaller, lighter, and narrower. The underseat exhaust was replaced by a side-mounted system, lowering the center of gravity. A slipper clutch became standard across all models. ABS was added as standard on the 2014+ models (optional in 2013). The 675R's ABS includes a circuit setting that disables rear ABS for track use.

No parts from the 2006-2012 Daytona 675 fit the 2013-2016 model. The engine architecture, frame, bodywork, exhaust, and electronics are all new. Within 2013-2016, parts interchange is excellent across all model years. The standard and R models share the same frame and engine; the R adds higher-specification suspension, brakes, and trim.

The 2013-2016 Daytona 675 shares its engine with the 2013-2016 Street Triple 675. Engine internals interchange between the two, though the Street Triple uses different cam profiles and ECU maps for its lower power output.

The Daytona 675 was discontinued after 2016. Triumph later produced a limited-run Daytona Moto2 765 (2020) using the Speed Triple's 765cc engine in a chassis derived from the 675, but this was a limited edition with unique components.

Common 13-16 Daytona 675 failure points and replacement parts

Side-mounted exhaust heat: The 2013+ side exhaust runs closer to the rider's right leg than the previous underseat design. In slow traffic, heat buildup on the right side can be uncomfortable. Aftermarket exhaust heat shields and wraps address the issue.

ABS module sensitivity (early 2013 models): Some early 2013 models with ABS experienced overly aggressive ABS intervention on rough surfaces. Dealer ECU updates recalibrated the ABS sensitivity for more natural brake feel.

Quickshifter calibration (675R): The factory quickshifter on the R model supports upshifts only. Inconsistent shift quality can indicate the need for quickshifter sensor recalibration or replacement. Aftermarket bidirectional quickshifters that support both up and down shifts are available.

Coolant system monitoring: The compact packaging of the liquid-cooled triple means coolant hoses are routed in tight spaces. Periodic inspection for seepage at connections, particularly around the water pump and thermostat housing, prevents overheating.

Fairing panel fitment (crash replacement): The 2013+ bodywork uses very precise panel gaps. Aftermarket replacement fairings often require minor fitment adjustments to match the OEM panel alignment. Genuine Triumph replacement panels provide the best fit.

  • Fairing panels (crash and track damage)
  • Side-mounted exhaust system and heat shield
  • Ohlins fork cartridges and rear shock (675R)
  • Brembo brake pads and rotors
  • Chain and sprocket kit
  • Quickshifter sensor (675R)

  • Rear subframe and tail section

Frequently asked questions

Q: Are any parts shared between the 2006-2012 and 2013-2016 Daytona 675?

Virtually none. The 2013 redesign was a clean-sheet project. The engine, frame, bodywork, exhaust, and electronics are all new designs. Even the 675cc displacement is achieved with different bore and stroke dimensions. Universal items like chain, sprockets, and some fasteners may be shared, but all model-specific components are unique to each generation.

Q: Will the limited-edition Daytona Moto2 765 parts fit my 675?

The 2020 Daytona Moto2 765 used a chassis derived from the 675 but with significant modifications to accommodate the larger 765cc Speed Triple engine. Some chassis components may interchange, but the engine, exhaust, and engine-adjacent bodywork are specific to the 765. The Moto2 765 was a limited production run (765 units worldwide) and its unique parts are extremely rare.

Q: Can I use 2013-2016 Street Triple 675 engine parts in my Daytona?

Yes. The 2013-2016 Street Triple 675 shares the same engine architecture as the 2013-2016 Daytona 675. Engine internals (crank, pistons, cylinders, gearbox, clutch) interchange directly. The Street Triple uses different cam profiles and ECU mapping that produce less peak power but more midrange torque. Installing Daytona cams in a Street Triple (or vice versa) is a documented modification.
