Used ADV150 Parts

Honda sold the ADV150 adventure-styled scooter in the US for the 2021-2022 model years. Powered by a 149cc liquid-cooled single-cylinder engine with fuel injection and CVT automatic transmission, the ADV150 features larger wheels (14-inch front, 13-inch rear) and longer suspension travel than conventional scooters, giving it a rugged appearance designed for light urban adventure riding. Manufactured in Indonesia, the ADV150 sits between the PCX150 and the larger ADV350 (not sold in the US). Its two-year US production run makes it an uncommon model. Parts from ADV150 donors at Sun Coast Cycle Sports are individually inspected and tracked at our Florida facility.

ADV150 generation and parts compatibility

The ADV150 received no significant changes between its 2021 and 2022 US model years. All parts interchange freely between the two years. The ADV150 shares its 149cc eSP (enhanced Smart Power) engine with the PCX150, Honda's most popular midsize scooter globally. Engine internals (piston, valves, crankshaft, CVT components) interchange between the ADV150 and PCX150 of the same generation. However, the ADV150 has a different frame with taller suspension geometry, different bodywork, different wheels (larger diameter than the PCX), and a different exhaust. External and chassis components do not cross between the ADV150 and PCX150.

The ADV150 shares no parts with any Honda motorcycle. It also shares no parts with the Honda ADV350 (larger displacement, different platform) or the Honda X-ADV 750 (a motorcycle-scooter hybrid with a completely different architecture). Despite the "ADV" branding across multiple Honda products, each is a standalone platform.

Common ADV150 failure points and replacement parts

The ADV150 has no NHTSA recalls and no documented systemic failures. The 149cc eSP engine is one of Honda's highest-volume global scooter engines (shared with the PCX platform) and is extremely reliable. Parts needs are cosmetic or wear-related.

Body panel damage: The ADV150's adventure-styled plastic bodywork is more extensive than a standard scooter, covering more of the bike with purpose-designed panels. Tip-overs or contact with urban obstacles can crack or scratch these panels. OEM replacement bodywork is model-specific and can be difficult to source given the ADV150's short US production run.

Windscreen wear: The stock windscreen yellows and develops micro-cracks from UV exposure over time. Replacement windscreens are a common purchase. The ADV150's windscreen mounting is specific to this model.

CVT belt wear: Standard wear item for any CVT scooter. The ADV150's belt should be inspected periodically and typically requires replacement between 12,000-18,000 miles depending on riding style.

Frequently asked questions

Q: Does the ADV150 share parts with the PCX150

The ADV150 and PCX150 share the same 149cc eSP engine. Engine internals and CVT components interchange between the two models. However, the ADV150 has a different frame, taller suspension, larger wheels, different bodywork, and a different exhaust. External and chassis parts are not compatible between the two scooters.

Q: Are 2021 and 2022 ADV150 parts identical

Yes. Honda made no mechanical changes between the two US model years. Only color availability changed. All parts interchange.

Q: Are ADV150-specific parts hard to find

ADV150 bodywork, windscreen, and chassis components can be difficult to source because Honda only sold the model in the US for two years with limited volume. Engine and CVT components are easier to find since the 149cc eSP engine is shared with the much more common PCX150 platform. For ADV150-specific body panels, used OEM parts from donor bikes are often the most practical source.
