Used RXT Parts

Sun Coast Cycle Sports stocks used OEM parts for the Sea-Doo RXT, BRP's sport-touring performance watercraft that combines three-passenger capacity with high-performance Rotax power. The RXT uses the ST3 hull platform shared with the GTX, offering exceptional offshore stability and rough-water handling alongside supercharged acceleration. Available in RXT, RXT-X, and RXT XRS variants producing 230-325 horsepower from the Rotax 1630 ACE supercharged inline-three, the RXT occupies the sweet spot between the GTX's touring comfort and the RXP's race-focused aggression. Each part is verified against its donor craft, individually cataloged, and ships from our Odessa, Florida warehouse.

The RXT shares its Rotax engine with the GTX, RXP, and GTR within the same displacement and power specification. All engine internals, supercharger components, and jet pump assemblies interchange. The RXT and GTX share the ST3 hull platform, so many hull and deck components cross over between the two model lines. The RXT-X adds performance-specific components (X-sponsons, polished impeller, VTS with launch mode) that can be retrofitted to standard RXT models.

The RXT XRS is the highest-specification variant with additional performance features. Its mechanical components are shared with the RXT-X, with the XRS adding premium trim and accessories.

Common Sea-Doo RXT failure points and replacement parts

Supercharger rebuild: Required every 100-200 hours on all supercharged RXT models. The supercharger intercooler should be inspected simultaneously for corrosion, particularly on saltwater-used craft. Neglecting supercharger maintenance can lead to bearing failure and catastrophic engine damage.

Carbon seal and wear ring: Standard jet pump maintenance items. The RXT's higher power output can accelerate wear ring degradation compared to naturally aspirated models.

Intercooler corrosion: The intercooler on supercharged models is cooled by raw water and is susceptible to internal corrosion, especially in saltwater environments. Regular inspection and flushing extends intercooler life.

Ride plate and intake grate: Performance-oriented riding can cause accelerated wear on the ride plate and intake grate, particularly if the craft is operated in shallow or debris-filled water.

Frequently asked questions

Q: What is the difference between the RXT and GTX

Both share the ST3 hull platform and Rotax engine family. The GTX emphasizes touring comfort with more storage, premium audio, and a plush seat. The RXT emphasizes performance with a sportier seat, more aggressive ergonomics, and performance-specific features like X-sponsons and launch control on X variants. Engine and hull components interchange between the two.

Q: Does the RXT share parts with the RXP

Engine and drivetrain components interchange between the RXT and RXP within the same power specification. However, the RXT uses the larger three-passenger ST3 hull while the RXP uses the smaller, more aggressive T3 musclecraft hull. Hull, deck, and body components do not cross over between the two.

Q: What does RXT-X add over the standard RXT

The RXT-X adds performance features including X-sponsons for sharper turning, a polished impeller for quicker acceleration, extended VTS (Variable Trim System) with launch mode, and a more aggressive riding position. The base engine and hull are shared with the standard RXT. X-specific components can be retrofitted.
