Sun Coast Cycle Sports stocks inspected used parts for BMW's G Model lineup, which encompasses BMW's single-cylinder motorcycles across multiple platforms and displacements. The G series includes the entry-level G310R and G310GS (313cc TVS-manufactured single), the middleweight G650GS and G650GS Sertao (652cc Rotax-designed single), and the competition-oriented G450X (449cc Kymco-manufactured single). Each G Model uses a different engine from a different manufacturer, so parts compatibility is strictly within each model family. Our Florida technicians pull parts from every G Model donor we receive, photograph them under unique SKUs, and ship free across the continental U.S.
BMW's G Models span from the entry-level G 310 series (310cc single-cylinder, built in partnership with TVS in India) to the middleweight G 650 GS (652cc single) and the dual-sport G 450 X. These models share almost no mechanical components between displacement classes. The G 310 R and G 310 GS share their engine and many chassis parts with each other but nothing with the 650 or 450 platforms. The G 650 GS evolved from the earlier F 650 GS single-cylinder lineage and shares some parts with late-model F 650 GS bikes, but this should be verified on a part-by-part basis. The G 450 X was a short-production competition enduro with minimal parts overlap with any other BMW model. When sourcing G Model parts, the specific displacement and model designation determines the available donor pool.
BMW G Models platform overview
The G series name unifies BMW's single-cylinder motorcycles, but the three families within it share no parts. The G310 (TVS, India), G450X (Kymco, Taiwan/China), and G650GS (Rotax, Austria/Loncin, China) each use a different engine, frame, and component set. When ordering G Model parts, always specify the exact model designation (G310R, G310GS, G450X, G650GS, G650GS Sertao) to ensure correct fitment.
The G650GS has the most parts cross-compatibility with other BMW models, sharing its 652cc single with the earlier F650GS (2000-2007). The G310 and G450X are standalone platforms with no cross-compatibility to any other BMW motorcycle.
The G310 family (2017+) is manufactured by TVS Motor Company in India and represents BMW's most affordable entry point. The 313cc liquid-cooled single features a reversed cylinder head design for optimized mass centralization. Available as the G310R naked roadster and G310GS small adventure bike, both share the same engine and most mechanical components.
The G650GS (2009-2015) continues the proven single-cylinder F650GS platform using the 652cc Rotax-designed engine. The Sertao variant adds a 21-inch front wheel and longer suspension travel for improved off-road capability. Engine internals cross over between the G650GS and the earlier F650GS single-cylinder models (2000-2007).
The G450X (2009-2012) was BMW's competition enduro, featuring a unique coaxial pivot suspension design and a Kymco-manufactured 449cc single. Produced in very limited numbers, the G450X is one of BMW's rarest modern motorcycles. No parts from the G450X fit any other BMW model.
